A 19-year-old man presented with a slowly growing mass in the palm of the nondominant
hand. As it grew it became progressively more painful and bothersome with increasing
tenderness on palpation. Initial imaging studies, including radiographs and magnetic
resonance imaging (MRI), were inconclusive, suggesting that the mass might be cystic.
