Outcomes from nerve gap repair can be dependent upon the material used to restore
the discontinuity. To examine these differences we added contemporary control cohorts
to a national nerve registry. Based on scientific evidence and historical controls,
we hypothesized that processed nerve allografts would perform similar to nerve autograft
and significantly better than tube conduit.
